Burrata with Roasted Peppers

This is a dish I love to order when we go to Restoration Hardware Rooftop.  It’s sexy, savory and actually quite easy to make.  We had company for dinner last night, and I served this as a first course.

You will need:

Crostini

4 bell peppers ( any color but green)

2 garlic cloves, minced

Good EVOO

Sea salt and black pepper

1 burrata ball

Torn basil leaves

Core, seed and slice bell peppers. Add enough olive oil in a large frying pan to coat bottom, heat then add garlic. Cook until garlic is lightly toasted.  Toss in peppers, cover and cook until peppers are soft. Add salt and pepper to taste. Remove to a bowl and allow to come to room temperature.

Place burrata and  peppers on a platter. Drizzle a little more olive oil on top of burrata, top with salt and pepper and torn basil leaves.  Serve with crostini.
