Refreshing doesn’t even begin to describe this. I loved it with some whipped ricotta and crackers. Total Amalfi Coast vibes! If you have ever seen a lemon from the Amalfi Coast, you know that they are huge and that means lots of juice. Amalfi Coast lemons are a traditional lemon variety (Citus limon) from the Amalfi Coast region of Italy. This variety was originally developed as a cross between small, local lemons and bitter oranges. They are also called Sfusato Amalfitano in Italian. I want to be a lemon farmer in Sorrento in my next life!
This limoncello spritz follows the classic 3:2:1 spritz ratio.
3 parts Prosecco
2 parts limoncello
1 part soda water.
Fill a wine glass up with ice, add Prosecco and Limoncello and give it a stir. Top with sparking or soda water. Garnish with a lemon slice and mint.
