Lowcountry Bloody Mary

There are many, many Bloody Mary recipes out there.  Some even look like an entire meal with mini cheeseburgers on them!  No thanks.  My Lowcountry Bloody Mary has accoutrements that will take your mind to the beach.


You will need:

1 cup tomato juice

Splash of hot sauce

Juice from a 1/4 lemon

1/4 tsp salt

1/4 tsp pepper

1/4 tsp Old Bay

1 oz vodka


Rim: equal parts of Old Bay and kosher salt

Garnish: cooked shrimp, pickled okra, lemon wedge


In a cocktail shaker, mix the first 7 ingredients together with ice.

Rim a large glass with lemon then dip in Old Bay and sea salt mixture.

Pour Bloody Mary mixture over ice.

Secure the shrimp and okra together with a toothpick and place on top.

Serve with additional wedge of lemon.
